FOR HAITI Consistent with our mission
to tell the African story, we at Talldrums lend our support
to the efforts of the group under the aegis of the Nigerian
Global Diaspora Committee in the fundraising drive for
Haiti. May the souls of those we lost in the earthquake rest
peacefully with God and the ancestors! May our efforts be of

THE HOST:
The show is hosted by the author and publisher, Dr. Ugorji O. Ugorji. Conceptualized by him, the show borrows its name from a book he wrote titled Tall Drums: Portraits of Nigerians Who Are Changing America. It is one of five books Dr. Ugorji has authored.
Vision:
To cultivate and advance a positive image of African immigrants and to inspire Africans outside the continent to not only embrace the values of liberty, justice, honesty, and integrity, but to also be meaningfully engaged in the improvement of lives on the continent.
The Goals:
• To tell the colorful stories about real life experiences of Continental Africans abroad.
• To provide a balance to the image of the African in the global media.
• To introduce the voices of Continental Africans abroad in the debate about developmental policies in their various countries of origin.
• To provide a medium for reaching the large market on the African continent (including Nigerians who alone number over 150 million at home and abroad).
